As the Manager of the Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will lead a team of customer‑facing engineers who embed with customer AI organizations to help them design, prototype, and product ionize AI agents using the W&B platform. You’ll be responsible for building a high‑performing FDE function that drives customer outcomes, accelerates product adoption, and creates durable feedback loops into Product and Engineering.

• Lead and develop a team of Forward Deployed Engineers supporting customers building AI agents with W&B Weave (hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management).
• Own delivery quality and customer outcomes by scoping engagements, setting success criteria, and ensuring successful deployments in customer environments.
• Drive technical excellence by standardizing best practices and producing reusable assets (reference implementations, demos, example projects).
• Create a strong product feedback loop by synthesizing field learnings and partnering with Product/Engineering to influence the Weave roadmap.
• Run FDE operations by defining metrics, improving processes and playbooks, and coordinating escalations and cross‑functional handoffs.

• Strong engineering background with expertise in Python and modern ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Hugging Face, Lang Chain, Llama Index, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, AI agents, and/or orchestration frameworks, including deploying real systems beyond prototypes.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams in high‑ownership environments.
• Prior experience working directly with customers in technical consulting, solutions engineering, forward deployed, or similar roles.
• Excellent communication skills: able to translate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders and drive alignment in ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
