Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: This position serves as a member of a multidisciplinary care team to assist in direct patient care activities taking into account specific needs as related to patient's age and culture. This care includes activities to enhance and ensure patient and family centered care and satisfaction. The position requires the ability to perform various clinical activities, from simple to complex with accuracy and efficiency under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.

All care is provided in compliance with and according to department policy and procedure and according to our Standards of Care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
  • Prior experience or enrolled in nursing program
  • Effective communication skills and basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

  • Completion of a Patient Care Technician program (or equivalent clinical experience)
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Completion of Associates degree in related field
Certifications and Licenses
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association
  • Certification as a Patient Care Technician
  • Phlebotomy Certified
Scheduling Requirements
  • Days 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Part-Time (22.5 hrs)
  • Mandatory Orientation
Essential Functions
  • Participates in assessment of patient needs and patient/family education needs consistent with personal knowledge base
  • Communicates with the health care team to help solve priority problems
  • Other duties assigned
