Position: Fire Inspector
Location: Township of Livingston
Responsibilities:
- Inspect commercial and private buildings for conformance to Township ordinances, board resolutions, and approved specifications and plans.
- Interact with the public, providing education and inspection services as part of the Fire Prevention Bureau.
- Provide technical and administrative support involving inspection-related forms and reports.
- Support senior Fire Department staff.
- Manage projects and respond to public inquiries/complaints.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School with 1-3 years of experience in fire code enforcement is preferred.
Special Requirements- Must possess a current Fire Inspector/Official license issued by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.
- Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of New Jersey.
Salary: $75,000–$95,000 annually.
