About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy, planning, and forecasting. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing the finance, asset management, and compliance teams, and must have a strong background in nonprofit finance, with at least 10 years in leadership roles. A BS in accounting, finance, or business is required, with a CPA or MBA being preferred.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar mission-driven nonprofit environment, particularly one that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and a deep understanding of NJ Medicaid and state funding systems.
Key responsibilities for the CFO include managing cash flow, investments, and banking relationships, ensuring accurate financial reporting for various funders, and maintaining strong internal controls. The role also involves coordinating audits, tax filings, and serving as a liaison to various board committees. Advanced proficiency in accounting software, such as MIP or similar, is essential, as are strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
