Overview

Serve as a key member of the Child Study Team in evaluating students and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that align with district goals and state standards.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and related service providers to support the implementation of IEPs and evidence-based instructional practices.

Facilitate CST and parent meetings to interpret assessment results, guide educational planning, and ensure understanding of student needs and services.

Provide teachers with diagnostic insights and instructional recommendations for supporting diverse learners.

Qualifications

Valid New Jersey Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Education.

Master’s Degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.

Comprehensive understanding of federal and state special education regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and New Jersey Administrative Code (N.J.A.C. 6A:14).

Demonstrated ability to administer, interpret, and apply results from a range of standardized and non-standardized assessment tools to identify and support student needs.

Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with students, families, and educators.

Strong analytical, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
