Truck Shop Supervisor

Pay Range: $78,850 to $98,575 per year.

The Fleet Maintenance Shop Supervisor will be responsible to provide overall direction and supervision to the Livingston Truck Shop. Ensure that the Truck Shop maintains a trained and efficient work force which consistently meets department goals on quality, efficiency, cost and safety.

• Supervise and direct the fleet maintenance technicians and maintain a safe work environment. Resolve any employee concerns, complaints and issues that arise out of the course of employment. Take proper action when needed to include but not limited to disciplinary action up and/or termination of employment.
• Manage job postings, recruiting, interviewing and hiring with the assistance of Human Resources. Conduct training classes for new hire and current employees for proper repair, inspection procedures, and development.
• Manage and maintain service scheduling for DOT compliance, and preventative maintenance intervals. Work with department manager and vehicle safety to reduce over dues.
• Scheduling work load with Dept Managers, supervisors, dispatch, and shop foreperson / lead person. Determine if subcontract help is needed and coordinate.
• Assist Technicians with problematic repairs, offering insight and guidance.
• Maintain computer diagnostic equipment, OEM software subscriptions, hardware, updates. Select and schedule employees for diagnostic training with various OEM's to keep employees current on diagnostics and repair.
• Supervise and maintain emissions and regulatory compliance for fleet maintenance facility.
• Assist with Hazmat and environmental affairs inspections with county and state to maintain satisfactory rating for fleet maintenance facilities.
• Maintain MSDS and regulatory manifests for the Livingston Facility.
• Manage corporate safety plan with meetings and committees.
