As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

Job Title:

Nurse Specialist CAMHS

Location:

West Lothian Out-Patient Team, St. John’s hospital Livingston.

Hours:

37 hours per week (part time hours will be considered)

Fixed Term for 12 months, Band 6

Salary: £39,912 - £48,635 per annum (pro rata if part time)

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking registered mental health or learning disability nurse who wishes to contribute to our vision of “Getting it right for every child” and young person with mental health problems and neurodevelopmental disorder. There are opportunities to develop skills in the assessment and treatment of a range of mental health presentations such as eating disorders, mood and psychotic disorders as well as neurodevelopmental disorders.

Post holders who are new to CAMHS will have the opportunity to undertake the NES “New to CAMHS” training over a 12 month period. NHS Lothian CAMHS has its own training budget and regularly organises internal and external training events for CAMHS clinicians.
