Geotechnical Engineer

We are working with a well‑established and highly respected ground engineering consultancy to assist them in hiring a Geotechnical Engineer for their growing team in Bathgate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and forward‑thinking organisation delivering high‑quality geotechnical and ground investigation services across a wide range of sectors. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their technical team with an ambitious and motivated engineer who is keen to develop their career.

• Planning, supervising and undertaking ground investigations
• Logging soil and rock in accordance with relevant standards
• Scheduling and overseeing laboratory testing
• Interpreting geotechnical data and preparing factual and interpretative reports
• Carrying out geotechnical design and analysis
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience in ground investigation and geotechnical reporting
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode 7 and relevant British Standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A full UK driving licence
