As a Supply Chain Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering regional sourcing strategies and managing end-to-end procurement processes. You’ll collaborate closely with the Supply Chain & Commercial team for the Scotland & North region to ensure goods and services are procured efficiently, compliantly, and with maximum value for money. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape sourcing decisions that impact the region’s long-term strategy.
KeyAccountabilities
- Leading sourcing strategies and procurement activities.
- Identifying and qualifying local and regional suppliers.
- Conducting market research and supply base analysis.
- Managing tender processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Developing and maintaining supplier contracts.
- Supporting implementation of centre-led category strategies.
- Leading contract management initiatives.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Collaborating with central supply chain teams to align regional and organisational goals.
You’ll be a strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset, confident in building strong relationships and guiding others. You’ll bring a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and development.
Key Requirements and Experience- Proven experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain roles.
- Line management experience.
- Strong understanding of supply chain practices including category spend analysis and supplier management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead sourcing activities and deliver results.
- Strong project management and data analysis capabilities.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Engineering, or similar - desirable.
- MCIPS (or equivalent) qualification or working towards - desirable.
- Full UK car driving licence.
