Geotechnical Engineer

Position: Geotechnical Engineer (Permanent)
We are working with a well-established and highly respected ground engineering consultancy to assist them in hiring a Geotechnical Engineer for their growing team in Bathgate.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and forward-thinking organisation delivering high-quality geotechnical and ground investigation services across a wide range of sectors. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their technical team with an ambitious and motivated engineer who is keen to develop their career.

As the Geotechnical Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Planning, supervising and undertaking ground investigations

* Logging soil and rock in accordance with relevant standards

* Scheduling and overseeing laboratory testing

* Interpreting geotechnical data and preparing factual and interpretative reports

* Carrying out geotechnical design and analysis

* Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:

* A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline

* Experience in ground investigation and geotechnical reporting

* Strong knowledge of Eurocode 7 and relevant British Standards

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* A full UK driving licence
