GP Locum

Overview

Dedridge Medical Group is looking to appoint a fixed term locum post. This post will run from week beginning 16 March to end of July 2026. This is aiming to be a 4-session post. Cover would have to include all day Monday, but the other sessions are flexible in terms of number and days. The sessional rate is £275 per session and there will be up to 4 weeks of paid annual leave pro rata.

There is also an allocation of paid weekly admin time within the post.

• Carry the usual range of GP workload, including mail, scripts, house calls and Duty Doctor cover.
• Manage 15-minute appointment slots with a mix of phone and face-to-face contacts.
• Optional opportunity to be involved in Extended Hours coverage, which would pay additionally.

Dedridge is a friendly supportive training practice with six partners and three salaried GPs and the usual mix of attached staff.

Contract:

fixed term locum from 16 March to end of July 2026; 4 sessions per week with Monday full-day coverage. Up to 4 weeks paid annual leave pro rata. Paid weekly admin time within the post. Optional Extended Hours coverage available.
