Assistant Estimator

Position: Assistant Estimator (Permanent)
We are currently working with a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in West Lothian who is looking to appoint an Assistant Estimator to join their growing commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in groundworks or civils who's looking to further develop their estimating career within a fast-growing business working on major projects across Scotland for blue-chip clients.

Working closely with the Commercial Director, you'll play a key role in the pre-construction phase, helping drive commercial success,

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of costing for groundworks and civils projects
Review drawings, specifications, and other documents
Produce accurate take-offs and assist with cost build-ups
Support pricing of works
Liaise with site teams and operational staff as required
What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience in an estimating or quantity surveying role
Ideally with background in groundworks, civils, or construction
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good understanding of construction processes and cost structures
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
