The Role …
The Streetworks Coordinators’ purpose is to lead & manage all street works permits and notices related to Openreach projects. You will play a key role and work closely with the project managers and sub-contractors programming work daily for each of the teams allocated. You will have a high level of IT skills as well as noticing experience. You will work in line with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Values.
You will be responsible for ensuring Company policies are implemented, monitored, and audited, ensuring resources and equipment are adequate for the workload. You must ensure your work meets the client expectations and maintain client and colleague communications at all times.
- Lead and arrange for Street Works Permits and Notices as required and in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure Traffic Management Plans are available and in accordance with procedures.
- Assist subcontractors with traffic management planning and administration, monitoring and coordinating all related activities.
- Liaise with local authorities, opening and closing permits using street works systems while ensuring all aspects of the TMA (Traffic Management Act) are met, responding to Highways comments, PMR and managing active permits to prevent any Fixed Penalty Notices and overrun charges.
- Schedule and program work on the Openreach frames and covers project, dealing with all aspects of TM.
- Assist the Project Managers with day-to-day operational aspects of the workstream.
- Monitor and identify Street works compliance, performance risks in relation to Section 74 and Fixed Penalty notices.
- Implement changes supporting the project managers.
- Effectively control processes, resources and data concerned with local authorities/highways.
- Control timebound SLA/KPIs.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring permits are updated inline with rules and regulations.
- Comply with all Health and Safety Policies.
