Housing Support Officer

Duration - 9 Months

Rate - £17-20 per hour

You will manage a caseload of service users, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers and achieve sustainable outcomes.

• Deliver structured, person-centred support in line with agreed support plans
• Help residents sustain their tenancies and understand their rights and responsibilities
• Complete needs assessments, risk assessments, and regular support reviews
• Provide guidance around budgeting, debt management, and welfare benefits
• Liaise with local authorities, support agencies, and healthcare professionals
• Encourage engagement with employment, training, and community activities
• Maintain clear, accurate records and case notes
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are always adhered to

• Previous experience within housing, supported accommodation, or community-based support
• Understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable or at-risk individuals
• Knowledge of housing processes and benefits systems (advantageous)
• Confident lone-working and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• A calm, professional and empathetic approach
