Job Title: Insulation Supervisor - Black Hat
Location: Isle of Grain
Job Type: Contract 4-5 weeks
Rate: £35.00 per hour Monday to Friday - £40.00 per hour weekends

Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Black Hat Insulation Supervisor to oversee insulation activities on a new-build LNG tank project. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising insulation teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering work to the highest quality within project timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise insulation work on the LNG tank, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Lead and manage insulation teams, providing clear direction and support.
  • Ensure all insulation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
  • Toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trade supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Inspect insulation materials and installation quality to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and workforce performance.
  • Report and resolve any issues, delays, or non-compliance matters on site.
  • Provide training and mentorship to insulation personnel as required.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Insulation Supervisor in the oil & gas or LNG industry.
  • Previous experience working on LNG tank insulation projects is highly desirable.
  • Black Hat Supervisor certification or equivalent site leadership experience - SSSTS
  • Strong knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Valid CSCS / CCNSG / SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding site environment with strict safety protocols.
