Food Service Assistant - Liverpool

We are looking for a motivated and customer‑focused Food Service Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality food and service at our client site in Liverpool. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our catering service runs smoothly across the main restaurant, hospitality events, and vending services, while delivering excellent service to our customers.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist in preparing and presenting food to Sodexo and client standards across daily service and events.
  • Serve meals and beverages to customers efficiently and professionally.
  • Operate tills accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded and customer flow is maintained.
  • Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, counters, storage, and service areas at all times.
  • Operate dishwashers and support effective kitchen flow.
  • Refill and maintain stock levels and cleanliness of vending machines.
  • Record food temperatures and wastage as required.
  • Comply fully with food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH regulations.
  • Work flexibly across duties and support colleagues to uphold a "One Team" culture.
What you’ll bring:
  • Previous experience in a busy catering or food service environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Confident using a till and handling cash accurately.
  • A team player who can also work independently when needed.
  • Awareness of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety standards.
  • Flexible and willing to learn new skills.
