We are now looking for a highly motivated Research Fellow (PDRA) to join a short, focused research project in maritime transportation and shipping systems. This is a four‑month fixed‑term appointment under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, offering an opportunity to help shape an innovative research direction with strong potential for follow‑on funding.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the project.
- Manage research resources.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations at project meetings and relevant conferences.
- Good honours degree and a PhD (or equivalent professional experience) in Maritime transportation or a related field.
- Solid background in liner shipping modelling and resilience modelling of maritime systems.
- Demonstrated research capabilities and ability to disseminate findings through high‑quality publications in international journals and refereed conferences.
- Experience with research projects related to maritime shipping routes modelling, risk assessment, and management (preferred).
You will work with a team of 11 postdoctoral/doctoral researchers in this ERC project on container transport risk, resilience, and sustainability analysis within the Liverpool Logistics Offshore and Marine Research Institute (LOOM) at Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
