M-RIC Post Doctoral Research Associate at University of Liverpool
We are seeking a Post‑Doctoral Research Associate to work as part of the Mental Health Mission within the Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M‑RIC), aligned to the NIHR Mental Health Translational Research Collaboration and housed within the new Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL) at the University of Liverpool and Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of a small portfolio of well‑defined, discrete research projects within the Child Adolescent Digital Mental Health work package.
- Plan, design and execute research projects, leading or co‑investigating within university and/or NHS environments.
- Lead key research processes and milestones, including research design, ethics and governance.
- Develop and evaluate health‑focused technology prototypes, conduct clinical trials, experience‑sampling studies, or other health technology evaluations as required.
- Apply diverse research methods to pursue applied knowledge.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, clinicians and technology developers.
- PhD in a relevant discipline (or expected to be awarded within the term).
- Experience as a lead or co‑investigator on university or NHS research projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage research design, ethics and governance.
- Experience in clinical trials, experience‑sampling methods, health technology evaluation or designing/developing health‑focused technology prototypes.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
Appointment at Grade 6 (spine point 30) if the PhD is not yet awarded; upon written confirmation that the PhD has been awarded the salary will be increased to Grade 7 (spine point 31). The role is a fixed‑term appointment until December 2027.
