Can YOU Help Us Deliver Safe, Compliant, High‑Quality Buildings Across the North West?
We are a fast‑growing construction and FM organisation delivering major refurbishment, cladding remediation and envelope upgrade projects across Liverpool and the wider North West. With an expanding pipeline of safety‑critical and compliance‑led projects, we are strengthening our Quality function with an experienced QA Manager who can ensure our sites, systems, and teams deliver to the highest standards.
If you’re passionate about quality, safety, regulation, and continuous improvement — and you thrive in a hands‑on environment working closely with project teams — this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
The Role
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will take ownership of QA across cladding remediation, external envelope upgrades, refurbishment projects, and wider construction activity. You’ll lead quality standards, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, support project teams with inspections and audits, and embed a consistent quality culture across sites.
This role combines technical expertise, regulatory understanding, and practical site‑based leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain project‑specific Quality Assurance Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and compliance documentation.
* Oversee QA processes across façade and cladding remediation works, ensuring compliance with fire‑safety regulations and standards.
* Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and quality checks across live projects.
* Identify non‑conformances, lead root cause investigations, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
* Support project teams in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and façade system details.
* Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure quality is embedded at every stage.
* Maintain accurate quality records, certification, and evidence packs for handover and regulatory review.
* Oversee material verification, installation quality, and system compliance for façade and cladding works.
* Prepare performance reports, trend analysis, and improvement recommendations for senior leadership.
* Champion cultural improvements in quality, safety, and documentation across the business.
Skills & Experience Required
* Experience in construction QA, with strong exposure to façade, cladding, fire remediation, or external envelope projects.
* Strong understanding of UK building safety requirements, cladding regulations, and external envelope installation standards.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test requirements.
* Excellent auditing, inspection, and reporting skills.
* Strong communication skills, able to advise and influence project teams.
* Highly organised, detail‑focused, and proactive in identifying and resolving quality risks.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit sites across Liverpool and the North West.
You Will Ideally Have:
* Experience working for a main contractor or specialist façade/cladding contractor.
* Knowledge of CWCT standards, fire‑testing regimes, EWS1 requirements, and building safety legislation.
* Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and digital QA tools.
* Background supporting works in occupied buildings or social housing environments.
* Relevant qualifications such as:
* ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
* NEBOSH/IOSH (desirable)
* Façade or fire safety accreditation (desirable)
