Service Care Solutions are recruiting an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) with a strong background in Primary Care to support a well-established service across the Liverpool area
.
This opportunity is ideal for clinicians seeking flexible locum work
, with a particular demand for evening, out-of-hours (OOH), and visit appointments
.
- Location: Liverpool | Various sites
- Hours: Part-time | 4–8 hour shifts
- Shifts Available: Monday – Sunday
- Shift Patterns: Evenings and nights
Breaks: 30 minutes unpaid per 6 hours worked
- £45 LTD p/h – Monday to Friday
Welcome bonus paid after 150 hours worked (approximately 4 weeks full-time equivalent).
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an ANP/UCP, you will be working autonomously while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Managing patients presenting with acute, chronic, and undifferentiated conditions
- Requesting, interpreting, and acting on diagnostic investigations within scope of practice
- Prescribing and administering medications in line with clinical guidelines and competence
- Supporting the wider MDT, including junior and unqualified staff, offering clinical advice and leadership where required
- Accurately documenting consultations, treatments, and outcomes using relevant clinical systems
- Maintaining high professional standards in conduct, communication, and clinical decision-making
- Carrying out out-of-hours home visits where required, ensuring safe and effective patient care
- Qualified ANP or UCP with relevant UK registration
- Proven experience working within Primary Care or Urgent Care settings
- Ability to work autonomously and manage clinical risk effectively
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational skills
- Flexibility to support evening, night, and OOH services
