Overview

Liverpool Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced After Hours Hospital Manager to lead after-hours operations in one of NSW’s busiest tertiary hospitals. This pivotal leadership role ensures the seamless coordination of patient access and flow, staffing, and clinical operations during critical periods. As an After Hours Nurse Manager, you will oversee nursing services within a complex and fast-paced environment, driving efficient resource management and fostering excellence in clinical practice.

Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining safe, high-quality, compassionate care while supporting staff and ensuring operational continuity across the hospital. You will play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture that empowers nursing teams and enhances the patient experience. Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Please provide a brief overview of your relevant postgraduate qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
  • Proven record of achievement in clinical, operational, and emergency management and leadership within a complex, acute healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and innovative problem solving skills in service delivery, human resource management, financial management, and quality and risk management.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive and constructive relationships.
  • Demonstrates understanding of, and adherence to, safety and quality standards, WH&S, and the positive patient experience. Displays behaviour consistent with NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect & Empowerment.
