Position: Programme Administrator - Social Cohesion Project (3yr Fixed Term)

Role Summary

Faith in the City:
Countering Hate, Cultivating Hope is a three-year programme (1 April 2026 – 31 March 2029) responding to rising community tensions and the risk of people being drawn towards harmful ideologies and behaviours, rooted in the legacy of Faith in the City and aligned with the Church of England’s Vision and Strategy and From Lament to Action.

Delivery follows a hub-and-spoke model:
Together Liverpool provides central leadership, coordination, learning and evaluation, while delivery is led locally through partner dioceses, with local staff and partners holding parish relationships and implementing activity.

The Programme Has Two Strands
  • Speaking Out: equipping clergy and lay leaders with training, resources and theological reflection to strengthen public voice, deepen inter‑faith and civic relationships, and support churches to respond well in difficult conversations.
  • Combating Vulnerability: working in high‑deprivation contexts to listen well, support basic needs, and co‑design practical pathways into inclusion, opportunity and wellbeing.
