Scanning Operator

Overview

The Scanning Operator will generate high quality digital material as requested in a timely manner working with and reporting to the Team Leader to ensure quality standards are adhered and deadlines are delivered.

Core working hours are between

To work a 37.5 hours week between the hours of 08:00-18:00 Monday - Friday as required

• Good understanding of general scanning documentation and the capabilities within scanning operations
• Scanning in colour & BW
• Quality settings, lightness / darkness & resolution
• Reduce file sizes
• Understanding of file size limitations & quality issues with resolutions
• Understanding all departmental procedures and SLA's.
• Ensure all work is QA'd by another member of the team.
• Assist with training to WL staff and client staff on machinery and procedures.
• Comply with department procedures.
• Email procedures
• Mandatory training
• Highlight any issues or improvements to the Team Leader.
• Ensure the environment is kept clean and tidy.
• Comply with health and safety procedures and regulations.
• Ensure the highest level of service is delivered.
• Ensure all deadlines are achieved.
• Undertake any ad hoc duties as requested by line management.
• Basic understanding of internal charging structure.
• Knowledge of scanning costs charging structure.
• Advise clients on cost effective production methods.
• Assistance with Mailroom tasks as required daily by Team Leader
