Hourly rate of £24.00 for basic 40 hour week (Mon - Fri), £36.00 per hour for overtime and £48.00 per hour for Sunday working.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Armature Winder, based in Liverpool. The Armature Winder will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of AC and DC electric motors and rotating equipment, including tasks such as dismantling, winding, testing, assembling, and balancing components. The role involves diagnosing and repairing faults, reading technical drawings, working with precision, and adhering to safety and quality standards in all activities.
The position requires someone who can operate efficiently and meet deadlines in a hands‑on workshop environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in armature winding, stator winding, and rotor winding, with strong skills in dismantling, assembling, and repairs.
- Must be a time‑served armature winder.
- Minimum of 5 years experience, post apprenticeship.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications for repair work.
- Experience with testing and fault diagnostics, as well as balancing and mechanical measurement techniques.
- Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work with precision in a workshop environment.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Experience in electric motor repair is required.
- Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering are a plus.
