The roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced audit professional to step into a managerial role. As Audit Manager, you will oversee client audits, from planning to completion, and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards. You will manage a diverse portfolio with a focus on statutory audits, while also supporting interim and year‑end accounts preparation. Building strong client relationships swiftly will be key, as well as acting as a trusted advisor on technical matters.
The role involves working alongside directors and partners, contributing to process improvements, mentoring junior team members, and assisting with internal quality reviews.
We are seeking a seasoned professional eager to advance their managerial career. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills and client focus, ideally with the following:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification audit experience.
- Proven track record overseeing audits and managing client portfolios.
- Skilled in preparing and reviewing financial statements under FRS
102 and IFRS. - Experienced in leading teams, mentoring staff, and providing technical support.
- Comfortable working in a client‑facing environment, with strong communication skills.
- Tech savvy with knowledge of a range of audit software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with UK GAAP, VAT, and Corporate Tax routines.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting and invoicing.
