Job purposeAccountable to the Team Leader, processing of customs declarations ensuring procedures are followed compliantly, acting as an extension of a clients business working as a single point of contact for customs only related matters to ensure their supply chains run efficiently without delays.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all documents received for customs purpose contain the minimum standard of information required, to process accurately.
- Submitting customs entries in Descartes E-customs, in line with HMRC legislation in a compliant manner, working to a 2-hour turnaround from receipt for EU Traffic.
- Provide copy entry by email & record in Leda (external document retention hub) with all commercial paperwork, which acts as a client’s audit trail for record keeping purposes.
- Responsible for customs amendments, to be actioned promptly.

Monitor supplier performance, ensuring a high level of service at all times & advise Customs Team Leader of any issues.
Strategic ResponsibilitiesTogether with the management team work towards continued improvement of systems, processes and development of the department.
