8.00 - 6.00 Flame Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an experienced Service Manager for a main dealership Gloucesterhisre based.
Our client is a customer-focused, professional garage.
They pride themselves on supporting the local community with friendly, professional vehicle maintenance services.
As part of a strategy for growth, they are looking for a Service Manager to manage their busy workshop team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of advisors and technicians.
- Price and formulate customer quotes and invoices.
- Organise work schedules ensuring work standards and timescales are achieved.
- Liaise directly with customers and service advisors to keep customers fully informed.
- Source vehicle parts required for mechanical work in the workshop.
- Adapt and track workshop activities to completion.
- Provide technical guidance to the workshop team as needed.
- Drive department performance against budget, identify any shortfall and implement plans to improve the performance
- Maximise customer satisfaction by treating everyone as an individual and delivering an exceptional service experience in line with the Company’s ethos of Driving Excellence
- Ensure the business maintains regular contact with all existing customers ensuring service levels are being met, issues are being resolved and further business opportunities identified
- Provide guidance, training and appraisals to each of the Service team to encourage a forward-thinking attitude which will help them achieve their full potential
- Encourage all staff to recognise additional business opportunities through the use of regular briefings and the implementation of appropriate systems and incentives
- Recruit, select, train and develop staff as required
- Ensure dealer standards are met and systems and procedures are complied with
- Previous experience as a Service Manager
- Experience in the motor trade
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to deliver high standards of performance and meet critical timelines.
- Direct experience managing a workshop team with an aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Full driving license.
