Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Liverpool, L36
Salary: £50,000 per year

Hours:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with possible on-call duties)

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead one of their children’s residential homes in Liverpool. The organisation has over 25 years’ experience supporting young people aged 10–18 with complex needs.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring young people receive high-quality care and support. You will lead a dedicated team, manage budgets, and ensure the home meets and exceeds all Ofsted standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the residential team, providing practical guidance and support

* Ensure the home delivers outstanding care for young people

* Organise staff, schedules, and resources effectively

* Manage budgets and maintain financial oversight

* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

* Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential care setting

* Significant experience in residential childcare with proven managerial skills

* Track record of achieving good outcomes with Ofsted inspections

* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management, or willingness to work towards

* Knowledge of EBD, SEMH, and other complex or challenging behaviours

* Commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving outcomes for young people
