We are seeking a lawyer with proven post-admission experience, uncompromising attention to detail, and a demonstrated passion for criminal law to join our respected defence team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to appear in court every day, take carriage of a broad range of matters and build your career alongside highly regarded defence practitioners.

As a valued member of our defence team, you will :

• Appear as solicitor advocate in sentencing hearings
• Appear in bail applications, including urgent and complex release matters
• Conduct defended hearings, combining detailed preparation with persuasive courtroom advocacy
• Instruct leading Counsel in serious and complex criminal and traffic law proceedings across all jurisdictions
• Appear in conviction and severity appeals, preparing persuasive submissions
• Appear in licence appeals and related traffic proceedings

The successful candidate will possess :

• Post-admission experience in criminal law, with demonstrated ability to appear as solicitor advocate and appear in matters at all court levels
• Outstanding advocacy and communication skills, with the ability to present cases effectively in court and engage with clients
• Ability to perform at the highest standard under pressure in high-stakes courtroom environments, exercising sound judgment while maintaining professionalism and composure
• Uncompromising attention to detail, with precision in case preparation, drafting, and courtroom presentation
• Proven commitment to excellence, integrity, and the highest standards of client service, consistent with the expectations of a premier criminal defence practice.
