Job Title: Clinical Negligence Solicitor

Salary Range: £35,000 to £50,000 (depending on experience) + Bonuses

Our client is a leading, established Legal 500 law firm with an excellent reputation across the UK. Due to steady growth in their Liverpool office, they are looking to recruit a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their dynamic and supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation professional with experience in personal injury and clinical negligence claims to manage a high-quality caseload in a collaborative, modern working environment.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion. Responsibilities include taking detailed initial instructions, providing clear and practical advice to clients, reviewing and analysing medical records, instructing independent medical experts where necessary, and assessing liability and causation. You will prepare robust cases for settlement negotiations or litigation, draft pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documentation, negotiate settlements directly with defendants, insurers, or NHS Resolution, and represent clients at conferences, mediations, and, when required, court hearings.

The role requires ensuring compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and funding requirements, while working collaboratively with colleagues and benefiting from an efficient and supportive team structure.

The firm offers a competitive salary of £35,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, with the opportunity to earn additional bonuses. Employees receive 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (initially), access to a pension scheme, and an employee assistance programme. There is a discretionary study support and sponsorship scheme, a 'Refer a Friend' initiative, and flexible working arrangements. Optional overtime is paid at 1.5x for up to 20 hours per month with managerial approval.
