Your Role
  • The Transport Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring CMA CGM's customers receive the best possible service and experience when choosing to work with us.
  • As a Transport Administrator, you will work directly with customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues across our business to ensure transport‑related matters are handled professionally, timely, accurately, and cost‑effectively.
Key Responsibilities
  • Be a trusted and reliable first point of contact for stakeholders, for any transport‑related matters.
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal customers.
  • Manage and resolve any transport‑related issues that arise, e.g., updating customers of late or failed transport, coordinating between hauliers and customers to ensure service issues are resolved, and escalating issues as required to relevant stakeholders.
  • Adopt a proactive and solutions‑focused approach, monitor delivery of transport services, and identify effective resolutions to any issues.
  • Proactively engage with customers, e.g., providing quotes, managing bookings, resolving any issues (e.g., invoice queries) that arise, and presenting relevant solutions that meet individual customer requirements.
  • Conduct general transport administration, including logging, monitoring, and analysis of issues, bookings, costs and service levels.
  • Work with our transport systems and database to ensure information and data are managed with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work with customers to ensure that charges raised are accurate, costs incurred are agreed, and processed accordingly.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer service and administration environment, with the ability to build rapport and provide a proactive, solutions‑focused service.
  • Experience with in the transport and logistics industry is a plus but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable experience building effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong administration skills, with knowledge of working with high volumes of data, IT systems, bespoke software, and MS Office applications.
  • A resilient approach, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A natural problem‑solver, able to identify root causes of issues and see through to successful resolution.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify root‑cause issues and propose solutions.
  • Flexibility and a proactive attitude to differing customer requirements.
