Do you thrive in a busy, friendly environment where no two days are the same? The University of Chester is looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant Hospitality and Events team.

In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our catering operation, supporting the preparation and delivery of delicious food across our campus outlets. From lively cafés to formal university events, you’ll help us create great experiences for our students, staff, and visitors.

• Assisting chefs with food preparation
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
• Helping with deliveries, stock rotation, and general organisation
• Keeping the kitchen running smoothly during busy service times

• Permanent, part-time role – 30 hours per week across 5 days (some weekend work required)
• £22,728 per year, plus generous benefits
• 22 days annual leave (rising to 27 after five years), plus bank holidays and Christmas closure days
