Overview
Part time position for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Elderly Care at the Royal Liverpool Hospital. Join a well-established Elderly Care Pharmacy Team with opportunities to contribute to Frailty wards and a Frailty Hub. Work as part of a MDT with a supportive Consultant Elderly Care team keen to expand the role of pharmacy in Elderly care. The service is evolving and the successful candidate will help shape its future.
Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Divisional Pharmacist for Medicine (Royal site) in the development of pharmacy services and medicines management within the Elderly Care Directorate, together with other members of the Elderly Care Pharmacy team.
- Provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the Elderly Care Directorate.
- Provide outpatient clinic patient review and support where applicable to your role.
- Provide non-medical prescribing (NMP) services to the Elderly Care Directorate.
- With support from the Lead Divisional and Clinical Pharmacists, audit, monitor and develop medicines management within your specialty.
- Vocational Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Registration with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent documented clinical experience.
- Full NMP qualification.
- MRPharm
S. - UKCPA membership; significant experience in a relevant specialist pharmacist role.
- Antimicrobial Stewardship experience.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development/education.
- Experience as an NMP; excellent clinical knowledge and practical clinical skills for the relevant specialist role.
- Good all-round clinical knowledge and practical clinical skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team; self-motivating and able to motivate/inspire others.
- Ability to affect and manage change; computer literacy; appropriate UK professional registration.
