Overview

This is a very exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on this busy 29 bedded General Medicine Ward. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Multi-disciplinary team and to provide high quality nursing care within this busy ward.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and team-working skills and be dedicated to improving the patient experience. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to developing others within a Multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality nursing care on a busy General Medicine Ward.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and effective teamwork.
  • Engage in continuing professional development and contribute to developing others within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Evidence or demonstrations of experience at Band 5, or previous experience as Band 6 within Medicine, with leadership potential.
  • Show leadership potential with effective communication, a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment, and a passion for excellence in patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of working as a Band 5 or previous experience as a Band 6 within Medicine (or equivalent).
  • Strong leadership potential and ability to lead within a clinical team.
