Overview

Specialist Care Support Workers – Learning Disabilities | Autism | Challenging Behaviour (Sensory Needs).

Location:

Knowsley
, Liverpool.

Schedule:

12-hour shifts (8am-8pm) | Days & Waking Nights. Salary: £13.76 per hour

The Opportunity:

We are looking for passionate and experienced Specialist Support Workers to join a brand-new service in Knowsley
. You will provide 24-hour care and support to one young adult female transitioning from hospital into her own fully refurbished bungalow. She has autism, sensory needs, and complex behaviours
, and will receive 3:1 person-centred support to help her thrive in her new home and community.

The Role
  • Provide consistent, high-quality care and support on a 3:1 basis.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and medication administration.
  • Work in line with personalised care plans to ensure safety, wellbeing, and independence.
  • Encourage active participation in the home and community.
  • Develop positive, trusting relationships focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with organisational and legal standards.
  • Adhere to all health & safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality procedures.
  • Work flexibly across day and night shifts (12-hour) on a fixed rota pattern.
About You
  • Previous experience in specialist or complex care (desirable).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive, person-centred approach to supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Ability to promote independence, inclusion, and informed choice.
  • Excellent record-keeping and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, rights, and best practice in complex care.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
