Job Opportunity:
Project Coordinator (Part-Time)
Hours: 15–22.5 hours per week
Location: Liverpool City Region (community-based, with some flexibility)
Contract: Part-time
Reports to: Division Lead
Accountable to: Founder / Chief Executive Officer

About First Person Project CICFirst Person Project CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing bespoke, specialist mental health and wellbeing interventions across the Liverpool City Region. Designed with and for local people, our work is rooted in lived experience, person-centred practice, and evidence-based approaches.
We combine our mental health philosophy with Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) to improve wellbeing, build resilience, promote active citizenship, and reduce suicide rates. We describe our approach as Socially Progressive Mental Health

We are seeking a motivated and community-focused Project Coordinator to support the effective delivery of our projects and day-to-day operations. This role is central to maintaining strong relationships with communities and stakeholders, coordinating activities, and ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Working closely with the Founder/CEO and senior team, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in community engagement, project coordination, data collection, and operational support.
We have a strong track record of delivering a wide range of impactful projects and currently deliver services across a diverse range of settings. Our ongoing work includes community-based provision, domestic abuse refuges, drug and alcohol rehabilitation services, children and young people’s services, care leaver support, and many other contexts.
This breadth of delivery reflects our ability to adapt our socially progressive, person-centred approach to meet the needs of individuals and communities with a wide range of experiences, strengths, and support requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support and coordinate community development activities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities and stakeholders
- Schedule, attend, and sometimes lead meetings, including preparing documentation and reports
- Collect, collate, and analyse project data (e.g. surveys, consultations, stakeholder engagement)
- Host and support community consultations such as Community Conversations
- Assist the senior team with daily operational and administrative tasks
- Monitor operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate project and operational records
- Act as a friendly, approachable presence within the community
You will be:
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Confident working independently while contributing positively to a team
- Comfortable engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders
- Experienced (or highly capable) in report writing, coordination, and problem-solving
Lived experience and a passion for community-led mental health approaches are strongly valued.
