About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical support worker to join us on the Gynaecology Outpatients Department with flexible hours over 7 days.

Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors and qualified nursing staff with the provision of high‑quality evidence‑based and individualised care of patients within the gynaecology division.
  • Provide care and support to relatives and carers attending the outpatient department.
  • Prepare notes and equipment for the clinics under the supervision of the qualified nurse.
  • Support and provide personal care in assisting patients with needs such as personal hygiene, catheter care, and escorting to various Trust departments when required.
  • Establish and notify any dietary requirement to the relevant qualified nurse and liaise with the catering team when required.
  • Assist in the movement of patients as and when required using appropriate equipment.
  • Accurately perform and record generic patient records (baseline observations including blood pressure, temperature, respirations, weight, height, urinalysis, pregnancy testing).
  • Maintain comfort round charts and escalated as required.
  • Contribute to the best possible use of resources and be an effective member of the team.
  • Assist in contributing to a quality patient experience and the effective running of the outpatient department.
