Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) - Telephone Triage

Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Practitioner (UCP) in a dynamic telephone triage role based at our head office in Wavertree, Liverpool. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in urgent care through direct telephone interactions, guiding patients to the appropriate care pathways.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Handle clinical call-backs efficiently from the 111 and 999 services.
• Utilise clinical judgement to direct patients to the correct care facilities.
• Collaborate with a supportive team including GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), and Clinical Coordinators.
• Manage approximately 4-6 calls per hour, ensuring high-quality care and advice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Nurse or Paramedic with a background in Urgent or Emergency care.
• Strong ability to make independent clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• No prescribing responsibilities are required for this role.
