This role will suit a qualified Management Accountant who is structured, highly organised, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where detail, discipline, and accuracy matter.
The role
You will have full ownership of site finance, including month-end close, cost control, variance analysis and business planning. Alongside this, you will act as a trusted partner to the site leadership team, translating financial data into clear, practical insight that supports operational and commercial decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Key responsibilities include
* Owning site financial reporting, month end close and variance analysis
* Producing clear monthly insight on manufacturing performance, costs and drivers
* Leading product costing and standard cost updates for a complex, multi SKU operation
* Managing inventory accounting, including slow moving and obsolete stock provisions
* Supporting business planning, forecasting and scenario modelling
* Partnering with Operations and Engineering on cost, efficiency and capital decisions
* Ensuring strong financial controls, audit readiness and compliance
* Building financial understanding across the site through effective business partnering
About you
The following requirements are non-negotiable for this role:
* Fully qualified Management Accountant with CIMA
* Proven experience in a manufacturing accounting role
* Strong understanding of product costing in a multi SKU environment
* Highly organised, structured and detail focused, with the discipline to manage complex processes and deadlines
You will be comfortable working closely with operational leaders, explaining financial information clearly and challenging constructively where required.
Reward and benefits
* Base salary of £65,000–£75,000 DOE
* Car/Car allowance
* Annual bonus linked to global business performance
* Market-leading pension scheme
* Private healthcare
* Income protection and life assurance
* Share participation plan
* Flexible benefits platform
* 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service
* Flexitime, with the ability to accrue additional time off
* Option to buy and sell annual leave
Why this role
This is a visible site based role with genuine influence, offering exposure to complex manufacturing operations, strong governance and a well structured working environment. It will suit someone who enjoys ownership, structure and being close to the operation rather than sitting in a purely corporate finance function
