Assistant Accountant

Are you an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant looking to join our Finance team and help shape confident, data-driven decision making across the organisation. Reporting to the Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information that supports both operational and strategic goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accountant who wants broad exposure to management accounting and the chance to make a visible impact in a forward-thinking business.

You will produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis, support budget holders through regular financial planning discussions, and contribute to annual budgeting and Board reporting. You will build trusted relationships across the business, helping managers understand their numbers and achieve strong commercial outcomes. Alongside this, you will manage balance sheet reconciliations, prepare performance statistics and ad-hoc analysis, complete external financial returns, and actively contribute to continuous improvement across finance processes.

We are looking for someone AAT qualified or with equivalent experience, with a strong grounding in accounting principles and a proven ability to deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis and value-for-money insights. You will be collaborative, commercially aware, and confident working within governance and compliance frameworks.
