FP&A Analyst

B&M Retail is one of the UK’s leading variety retailers, continuing to grow at pace with an ambitious expansion strategy. We are now looking to recruit an FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team, offering an excellent opportunity for a Qualified accountant or a 3rd-year study candidate to develop their career in a fast-moving commercial environment.

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and insight. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will help drive informed decision-making across the business.

This role is available on either a permanent or temp-to-perm basis, offering flexibility for the right candidate.

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
• Producing insightful monthly management reports and variance analysis
• Providing commercial analysis to support trading and investment decisions
• Partnering with operational teams to understand performance drivers
• Developing and maintaining financial models and KPIs
• Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and business cases as required

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or part-qualified (3rd year of study)
• Proven experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Advanced Excel skills (Power BI or similar is an advantage)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
• A proactive, commercially minded approach
