Management Accountant
Location: South Liverpool

The RoleYou’ll take full responsibility for the month‑end process, deliver clear and insightful reporting, and play a key role in strengthening financial control across the organisation. This is a hands‑on role where your ideas will be welcomed and where you’ll have regular exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Month‑End & Management Reporting
- Lead the month‑end close process to deadline.
- Produce the full management accounts pack, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and KPIs.
- Complete and review balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Compare budgets/forecasts to actuals, investigate variances, and deliver clear commentary.
- Partner with cost‑centre managers to ensure accurate monthly costings, strong budget discipline, and aligned decision‑making.
- Provide practical, commercially focused insights to non‑finance teams.
- Support monthly payroll preparation and balance reviews.
- Assist with external audit preparation and schedules.
- Prepare VAT.
- Manage and account for FX transactions.
- Identify and implement improvements across reporting, controls, systems, and processes.
- Streamline and optimise the month‑end cycle.
- Use Excel and finance systems to enhance automation and reporting quality.
- Fully qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA).
- Strong grounding in management accounting and financial reporting.
- Excellent Excel and general systems capability.
- Confident communicator able to engage effectively with non‑finance stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for improving how finance operates.
- Experience with Net Suite (advantageous but not required).
- Exposure to multi‑entity environments.
- Understanding of VAT.
