Partnerships Tax Assistant Manager

My client is looking for a qualified tax professional to join a leading national advisory firm as an Assistant Manager within their Private Client Partnerships team. The role involves delivering a high-quality tax advisory and compliance service to a diverse client base, including partnerships, sole traders, and family-owned businesses. You’ll also support the development of junior team members, work on technical advisory projects, and contribute to business development initiatives.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Partnerships Tax professional seeking to step into an Assistant Manager role, or for someone already working at Assistant Manager level with ACA or CTA.

• Manage the tax compliance process for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Lead and deliver specialist tax assignments and planning projects.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Review work completed by junior staff and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Build strong relationships across teams to ensure client needs are fully met.
• Supervise, brief, and support junior team members on assignments and provide on-the-job training where needed.

• ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing personal or partnership tax compliance and advisory work.
• Strong understanding of tax issues affecting private clients, partnerships, and owner‑managed businesses.
• Demonstrated client handling and project management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop internal and external relationships.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior staff members.
