As Senior Formulation Technician, you will contribute to the development of the next generation formulation and product technologies required for the company’s ambitious innovation programme and growth plans. Additionally, you will undertake tasks such as testing and preparing formulations, consumables and product prototypes. To have an impact on the innovation programme, the Senior Formulation Technician needs to demonstrate curiosity, a broad and deep technical skill set, a collaborative mindset, excellent influencing and team building skills.
PrincipleAccountabilities
- Lead & Support: Self‑starter with ability to manage own work and coach Technicians, supporting innovation and development projects.
- Project Delivery: Plan, execute, and communicate work effectively, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of formulation, lab testing, and product development principles.
- Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document work, draft SOPs/protocols, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Lab Operations: Confident in using lab equipment, handling materials safely, and maintaining lab readiness.
- Innovation & IP Awareness: Support patent processes, contribute to new ideas, and uphold confidentiality and IP standards.
- Experience in liquids formulation, processing, filling and characterisation.
- Experience in soft solids formulation, processing (e.g., extrusion, casting, etc.) and characterisation.
- Planning and completing work to agreed standards.
- Time management, report writing and team working skills.
- Ability to break down activities into achievable tasks and provide effective solutions.
