Quantity SurveyorMJ Quinn Energy and Critical Infrastructure division is a multi‑disciplined integrated service provider headquartered in Liverpool. Specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, our expertise includes energy‑efficient solutions such as LED lighting, adiabatic and CRAC cooling units, air‑source heating, solar PV systems and battery storage. Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our rapidly expanding team.
Aboutthe role
Reporting to the Commercial Director within the Energy and Critical Infrastructure Division, you will manage the commercial aspects of a variety of projects in healthcare, education and other developments. You will ensure the financial elements of projects are delivered, including subcontract procurement, site measures, monthly CVRs, budget analysis, raising and agreeing EWN’s and compensation events, and overall commercial contract administration.
Responsibilities- Cost control and value management
- Produce accurate monthly forecasts, CVRs and P&Ls
- Develop local supply chains
- Administer the commercial aspects of the programmes
- Agree applications for supply chain payment and final accounts
- Monthly WIP analysis & cash flow control
- Manage variation accounts and subcontract payments
- Produce dashboard reports to reflect key commercial KPIs
- Advise the team on contractual issues
- Manage Variation Account and final account forecast
- Experience in healthcare and relevant experience on major M&E projects under NEC 3 and/or 4 agreements
- Strong communication, diplomatic and inclusive approach
- Full driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months
- Business‑like and appropriate language in communication
- Ability to deliver challenging corporate messages effectively
- Prioritise key tasks to focus on the greatest impact
- Communicate goals to align the team with business aims
- DBS check completed prior to start date
- Legal right to work in the UK
