Position: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant KS3

1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School

Location: Liverpool & surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term and Short-term roles available
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Milk Education Liverpool is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a secondary-aged pupil with additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve personal success.

We’re looking for someone patient, proactive and committed to making a real difference in a young person’s school experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personalised 1:1 support to a student with additional learning needs
  • Assisting with tailored learning activities and interventions
  • Supporting the student’s social, emotional and academic development
  • Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and wider support team
  • Helping the pupil remain focused, engaged and confident throughout the school day
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and resilience
Essential Requirements
  • UK school-based experience is essential
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN or barriers to learning
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Ability to build trust and positive relationships
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
