SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School

Location: Liverpool & surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term & Short-term opportunities

Milk Education Liverpool is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a secondary school setting
. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential.

We are looking for someone who is confident, patient and committed to making a positive impact on pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and tailored intervention work
  • Helping pupils to engage, focus and build confidence
  • Working collaboratively with the SENCO and wider school team
  • Providing emotional and pastoral support where needed
Essential Requirements
  • UK school-based experience is essential (secondary preferred)
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A nurturing, understanding and resilient approach

    A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
