Teacher – Small Group
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to deliver the KS1 curriculum to small groups of primary-aged children with Autism (ASC). This is a rewarding role for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to children’s learning and development.
The RoleTeach small groups of children working within the KS1 curriculum
Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism
Deliver high-quality phonics teaching using structured and evidence-based approaches
Create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Use a range of strategies to support communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN professionals, and parents/carers
Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets and assessments
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Strong experience teaching phonics
, ideally within KS1Experience teaching primary-aged children with Autism or other SEND
A flexible, patient, and child-centred approach
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to inclusive and trauma-informed practice
