OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced and purpose-driven Training and Development Manager to lead the design, delivery, and growth of specialist training and education programmes focused on human rights, safeguarding, and the prevention of harmful practices.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing funded training projects, developing high-quality learning content, and leading teams to deliver measurable impact across professional and community audiences. The role reports to senior leadership and contributes to organisational strategy and sustainability.
This opportunity is well suited to a training professional who combines subject matter expertise with strong project leadership and a commitment to social justice.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and continuous improvement of training and education programmes on safeguarding, harmful practices, and related issues.
- Take full responsibility for the delivery and management of a nationally funded training project, ensuring outcomes, reporting, and compliance requirements are met.
- Design and deliver advanced, in-depth training programmes for a wide range of audiences, including health, social care, education, voluntary sector, and community organisations.
- Develop flexible learning solutions that can be delivered online, in-person, or in hybrid formats.
- Tailor training content to meet organisational needs and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and support staff, volunteers, and student placements involved in training delivery.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Contribute to organisational development, quality assurance, and strategic planning.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in training and development.
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, delivering, and managing high-quality training and education programmes.
- Experience delivering training to diverse professional and community audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support staff and volunteers.
- Experience in project management and budget oversight.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt content and delivery methods to different learning needs and environments.
- Strong commitment to human rights, equality, and social change.
