Milk Education is working in partnership with a forward‑thinking secondary academy in Liverpool, L12 to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor. This is a full‑time, long‑term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, raising engagement levels, and helping pupils develop the skills needed to succeed both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with behavioural needs
- Support pupils in managing emotions and developing self‑regulation strategies
- Build positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and families
- Work collaboratively with the pastoral team and SENCO to implement behaviour plans
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour interventions
- Experience working with young people in a school, alternative provision, youth work, or similar setting
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
- Resilient, patient, and empathetic personality
- Ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
- Team Teach training (desirable but not essential)
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
